SHREVE, Ohio (April 15, 2019) – Although his Friday night visit to Attica Raceway Park ended before a single feature lap could be completed, accidental contact with another competitor forced an early retirement, Shreve, Ohio’s Trevor Baker rebounded in a big way on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway and earned a top-ten performance with the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA).
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/No. 45 sprint car, finished eighth during his visit to ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ on Saturday, April 13, kicking things off, officially, with an impressive rally from seventh to finish fourth during his respective heat race.
Trevor Baker is certainly no stranger to action at Wayne County Speedway. In fact, Baker’s first-ever 410c.i. sprint car victory occurred at the Orrville highbanks in 2017.
“That’s not how we wanted things to end at Attica, but I’m glad we were able to rebound and do some good things at Wayne County Speedway the next day,” Trevor Baker said, who started 13th at Attica Raceway Park before the race-ending contact occurred. “We were able to move forward all night at Wayne County Speedway. That’s really encouraging. All we can do now is keep using our notes and work for solid finishes everywhere we go. I’m excited to join the All Stars this weekend. It will be a solid field, but we’ll do whatever we can to make the big dance on Friday.”
Up next on the schedule, Trevor Baker and T-Rev Performance will return to action on Friday evening, April 19, at Attica Raceway Park, joining Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions for night one of the Core & Main Spring Nationals. If all goes according to plan, Baker will return for night two of the Core & Main Spring Nationals on Saturday, April 20. Plans will be finalized in the coming days.
