Baker gains valuable seat time at Attica; Ready to join All Stars for Ohio doubleheader

SHREVE, Ohio (April 16, 2018) – With work commitments keeping the Shreve, Ohio, native from fulfilling his plans to be a full-time All Star Circuit of Champions competitor, thus missing the Series’ first championship points event of the season, Trevor Baker spent the recent weekend competing close to home, joining the best in Ohio, as well as the surrounding region, at Attica Raceway Park for the facility’s season opener on Friday, April 13.
A stout field of 45 cars made the call at the Attica highbanks, and despite not qualifying for main event action, Baker learned valuable lessons and plans to put those to good use when he returns to Attica on Friday, April 20, for the Core & Main Spring Nationals featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1.
“When you are racing against that level of talent, you have to be 100% every time you are on the track,” Baker explained, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Bakers Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/Mid Ohio Diesel/No. 45 sprint car. “Unfortunately for us, we were a little short during our heat race which put us behind the rest of the night. Other than that, I am happy with how the car felt. We have a few things to change, but we’ll be ready to go on Friday.”
Up next, Trevor Baker will join the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 for a pair of events in the Buckeye State, first visiting Attica Raceway Park on Friday, April 20, followed by a stop at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, April 21. Baker is a former Wayne County Speedway feature winner during weekly competition, hoping to do it again on Saturday, only this time for $5,000.
“I’m excited to race with the All Stars this weekend,” Baker continued. “I’m pretty disappointed we don’t get to race full-time like we planned initially, but work is too busy. We have to take advantage of that.”
