SHREVE, Ohio (May 13, 2019) – A last minute decision to bypass his plans to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Eldora Speedway on Saturday, May 11, and instead visit the nearby Wayne County Speedway, proved to be a significant choice, as Trevor Baker eventually capped his night with an impressive rally from 11th to finish fourth during main event competition.
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/No. 45 sprint car, now owns two top-ten performances at ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ in 2019, the first occurring on Saturday, April 13, when the Shreve-native finished eighth during Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) competition.
In fact, much of Baker’s racing resume is padded with positive Wayne County Speedway outcomes, one of which being a victory – the first of his 410c.i. sprint car career.
“We had Eldora on our radar all week, but with some of my crew unable to make the trip, we decided to race somewhere a little closer to home. The decision definitely worked out,” Trevor Baker explained, who finished fourth during his Wayne County Speedway heat race on Saturday night. “We have a lot of big plans on our schedule, but we’ll still take things week by week. Work is very busy, so that is my first priority.”
Trevor Baker and T-Rev Performance will make a plan for the upcoming weekend during the next few days. The team will monitor the weather throughout the week to help determine a final decision.
