2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Eighth | 7,668 points [ 546 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

CARLISLE, Pa. (October 4, 2022) – A brief National Open weekend nonetheless, highlighting their weather-shortened National Open preliminary effort with a ninth-place score during main event competition – their 35th top-ten appearance of the season with the Greatest Show On Dirt – Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports are ready to continue their Keystone State homecoming, set to invade the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” for the annual Nittany Showdown on Friday and Saturday, October 7-8.
Awarding a total weekend winner’s share reaching $25,000, $10,000 on Friday and $15,000 on Saturday, Port Royal’s Nittany Showdown is certainly no stranger to Bayston and his Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based World of Outlaws outfit, as the team conquered the 2021 finale for a $15,000 score. Impressive enough, the accomplishment occurred during Bayston’s fourth-ever start for CJB Motorsports.
Spencer Bayston will enter the weekend eighth in the current World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series standings padded by two victories on the season including a $25,000 triumph in Bristol Motor Speedway’s Bristol Bash.
“We’re excited to get back to Port Royal Speedway and work to repeat what we achieved in 2021. We’ve been fortunate to build some solid momentum over the last few weeks, so we’ll do our best to put it to good use,” Bayston, driver of the TrueTimber Camo, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, said. “Having the opportunity to work in our own shop has been an asset, as well. It gave us a chance to reset our operation and prepare for the last stretch of the season.”

As noted, Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the two-day Nittany Showdown at Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, October 7-8. Port Royal’s Nittany Showdown, featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, will award $10,000 and $15,000, respectively.
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports are prior Nittany Showdown winners at the Port Royal “Speed Palace” – Bayston’s fourth-ever start with the team.
