2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Eighth | 7,264 points [ 520 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

CARLISLE, Pa. (September 19, 2022) – Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports may have capped their 2022 West Coast Swing on a relatively sour note, scored 16th in Keller Auto Speedway’s $21,000-to-win Tom Tarlton Classic after battling for a top-five during much of the program, but the Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based World of Outlaws operation is already looking ahead, aiming big during upcoming starts at Eldora Speedway and Sharon Speedway on September 23-24.
Bayston, ace of the TrueTimber Camo, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, was scored 16th after a cushion miscue followed by accidental contact forced the Lebanon, Indiana, native to the work area; he would return.
Starting sixth on the A-Main grid, Bayston battled as high as fifth before the incident occurred.
“Unfortunately, mistakes happen, but we were pleased with our speed until that point. Just a small mistake on the cushion cost us a potential top-five,” Bayston said, a two-time World of Outlaws winner thus far in 2022. “Hats off to this entire TrueTimber Camo team. They continue to work hard and give me a car that has the potential to win night in and night out. We’re always making improvements and it shows. We’re excited to get back to Eldora and work toward big results.”

As noted, Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a two-day invasion of the Buckeye State, first visiting Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, for the BeFour the Crowns Showdown on Friday, September 23, then setting aim on Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, September 24. Each event will award a $10,000 top prize.
