2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Eighth | 1946 points [170 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

CARLISLE, Pa. (April 25, 2022) – Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports battled their way to a top-ten result yet again, this time finishing fourth with the Greatest Show On Dirt during a one night stop at the always-exciting Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, April 23.
Resulting in their ninth top-ten outcome of the 2022 World of Outlaws season, Bayston and CJB Motorsports started fifth on Tri-State’s feature grid, pressuring hard for a podium position before settling for one spot out. The Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based outfit kicked-off the evening program with the fastest time during qualifying time trials, as well as a runner-up performance during heat race competition. The preliminary effort secured their dash appearance.
Tri-State’s tight quarters made for an exciting feature with four to five cars battling for high honors during the entire 40-lap distance; there were 27 drivers in attendance.
“We had a really fast car all night long. I feel that my confidence and comfort level is at an all-time high right now. Barry, Scott, and Brendan are all doing a great job at giving me a strong, stable car every time I hit the track and it’s showing,” Spencer Bayston explained, driver of the Signing Day Sports, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, The Dunn Group, Highlands’ Power Sports, High Performance Lubricants, FK Rod Ends, Allstar Performance, No. 5 sprint car. “Our speed is consistent and our results reflect that. Coming out of Haubstadt with a quick time and a top-five is something I am very pleased with. The consistency and comfort will prove to be very important this weekend at Bristol.”
ON DECK:
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the Bristol Bash at the dirt covered Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on Thursday through Saturday, April 28-30. The weekend will ignite with a practice session on Thursday, followed by back-to-back nights of competition on Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s finale will award a $25,000 payday.
