2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Seventh | 4456 points [190 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
CARLISLE, Pa. (July 5, 2022) – CJB Motorsports and Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston put together a relatively consistent weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, and despite missing the top-ten in Friday’s Independence Day Spectacular opener, the Carlise, Pennsylvania-based World of Outlaws operation capped the weekend in a big way, ultimately rallying from 14th to finish eighth in Saturday’s holiday finale.
Bayston, ace of the CJB Motorsports, TrueTimber, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, kicked-off preliminary action in Cedar Lake’s finale with the 14th-fastest time overall, finishing fifth in his respective heat race shortly thereafter. The World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender is now the owner of 22 World of Outlaws top-ten finishes in 2022, 12 of which occurring within the top-five.
“It wasn’t a bad weekend for our team. I think we were much better than what the numbers show but we’ll use this as a stepping stone and move forward with confidence,” Bayston said, a two-time World of Outlaws winner in 2022 who opened his weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway with an 14th place finish. “I can’t say enough about Barry Jackson and this entire CJB Motorsports team. We have some big events ahead including the Kings Royal in two weekends. I’m excited to see what we can do on one of our sport’s biggest stages.
