2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: 18th | 346 points [92 points behind championship leader, David Gravel]

CARLISLE, Pa. (February 22, 2022) –  The 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign will be filled with lots of firsts for Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston, but his eagerness and ambition to learn is sure to cut the deficit. Bayston will have to put his ambitions to the test this weekend, as the Greatest Show On Dirt is set to invade Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, and The Rev in Monroe, Louisiana, on Friday and Saturday, February 25-26, each new to the recent Nittany Showdown winner.

“After watching David Gravel and Brad Sweet battle at The Rev last year, it made me excited to get there. Magnolia, too. It’s going to be a fun weekend,” Bayston said, driver of the CJB Motorsports, Signing Day Sports, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, The Dunn Group, High Performance Lubricants, No. 5 sprint car. “Being a part of an operation like CJB Motorsports is only going to make adapting to new tracks a lot easier. I know we’ll continue to progress, as well as make me more comfortable.”

Bayston and CJB Motorsports will enter the Mississippi/Louisiana double fresh off of a DIRTcar Nationals stretch, qualifying for all three main events while highlighting their weekend in the Sunshine State with a 16th-place score in Saturday’s program. The team’s end result was the product of a five position advancement, securing their spot in the DIRTcar Nationals finale by winning the evening’s Last Chance Showdown.

“We have a long season ahead of us with a lot of new tracks for me,” Spencer added. “I’m confident great things are ahead for this CJB Motorsports team.”

ON DECK:
Once action in Mississippi and Louisiana is complete, Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the two-day Texas Two-Step at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5.

Not done with Texas, the World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender will return to the Lone Star State approximately one month later for Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s Texas Outlaw Nationals on Saturday, April 2.
