BECOMING ACCLIMATED: Sanders to continue Reutzel substitution with High Limit starts in California
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 11, 2025) – Despite making his Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) debut during the most competitive week of the season, Knoxville Raceway’s 360 Nationals and Knoxville Nationals, Aromas, California’s Justin Sanders has adapted well, guiding Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Power Plus No. 87 to 360 Nationals and Capitani Classic A-Main starts, all before capping their ten-day stretch with a Knoxville Nationals C-Main start on Saturday, August 9. Sanders, filling in for the injured Aaron Reutzel, will continue his RSR tenure Friday, August 15, at the legendary Thunderbowl Raceway.
“What he’s been forced to do is not easy, but we appreciate his hard work and focus. Justin (Sanders) is a talented race car driver and he’s doing an excellent job,” Brian Ridge, owner of the Power Plus, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, Commercial Edge, Rasmusson Service Center, The P.O. Box, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprint car, noted. “He’s going to be our main man as Aaron (Reutzel) continues to recover. He’s very competitive in California, and with our schedule heading that direction, I’m confident big things are ahead.”
As noted, Justin Sanders and RSR capped their ten-day stretch in Knoxville, Iowa, with a C-Main start on Saturday, August 9, rallying from tenth to finish fifth. Despite their grand attempt, it was just short of where they needed, as only four made the cut to the evening’s B-Main. Sanders launched his Knoxville Nationals preliminary effort with the 11th-fastest time on Wednesday; his evening ended in the B-Main.
“It was a great week at Knoxville,” Ridge continued. “It’s a tough ten days, but the team performed. Now our focus returns to High Limit and California.”
ON DECK:
Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) and Justin Sanders will continue their 2025 campaign with High Limit Racing starts at Thunderbowl Raceway and Placerville Speedway on Friday and Saturday, August 15-16.
