Bigger Plans with Bigger Power for Andrew Wylie in 2014
Saltsburg, PA (January 14, 2014)The upcoming race season is shaping up to be a SUPER one for late model racer Andrew Wylie. Building from a successful 2013 season, the Western PA driver has decided to test his skills in the highly competitive Super Late Model Division in 2014. Wylie recently took delivery of a Roush-Yates built, all aluminum Ford engine and will continue to prepare his Wylie Race Cars chassis over the next few months. Wylie stated “It’s a very exciting time for our race team. We look forward to the challenge that competing in the Super Late Model Division brings, and are excited to begin racing in the most elite division of dirt track racing.” He added “My parents play the biggest role in our team, and continue to be my biggest supporters and most fervent fans. Without their support and the help of our sponsors, none of this would be possible!”
While Andrew gains some valuable seat time behind the wheel of the super late, he also plans to compete for the points championship in the RUSH late model touring series. “Our winter has been busy. Not only are we updating and doing a complete rebuild on our crate car, we are building a newly designed chassis for our super late program. We use every opportunity available to take advantage of the latest technology so the car can perform to its maximum.” Wylie tentatively plans to start his super late model season in late April, and his crate season in late March. “This is a big change for our team but we fully expect to be competitive from the get go. With the help of my parents and dedicated sponsors, I feel that 2014 is going to be a year to remember!”
