By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 16, 2024) – Things were on pace to be great for Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, and despite a sound preliminary effort that saw the Higginsville, Missouri, native record the third-fastest qualifying time and win his respective High Limit Racing heat race, things went sour quicker than expected.

Tough track conditions resulting in limited visibility, as well as mud-packed wheels, forced Brown to retire early; he was scored 22nd after starting eighth.

“We were excited to get back to Texas Motor Speedway…a first for us in a while,” Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, No. 21 sprint car, said. “Unique track conditions in some respect, but the guys were able to make some great adjustments to get us in a position to make the A-Main. Unfortunately, we drew the worst number possible. It ended up being a visibility and handling issue for us, so pulling off was the best option. Regardless, the guys worked hard and we were able to record some solid notes, just in case we end up going back there late in the year.”

A tough ending in the Lone Star State, nonetheless, but Brown is ready to move forward, setting aim on Knoxville Raceway’s season-opening weekend set for Friday and Saturday, April 19-20. Friday’s portion of the weekend will consist of open practice sessions, followed by a full program on Saturday.

Brian Brown and Knoxville Raceway are certainly synonymous with one another. “Blackjack” is not only a five-time 410 sprint car track champion, but he is also the reigning 360 Knoxville Nationals champion.

“We’re definitely ready to get back to Knoxville Raceway,” Brown added. “It’s my favorite track…always has and always will be. This is our chance to settle in and get our program right for when the Outlaws visit the following weekend.”
