GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 4, 2023) – Brian Brown’s Texas visit was frustrating in part, highlighting the Texas Outlaw Nationals pair at Devil’s Bowl Speedway with a 19th-place outcome in the $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday, April 1. The Higginsville, Missouri, native, who headquarters his Brian Brown Racing No. 21 in nearby Grain Valley, will look for World of Outlaws redemption this Friday and Saturday in visits to US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, and 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas.
Although an overall sense of frustration, there were some shining moments in Brown’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway visit including his display of perseverance. “Blackjack,” the reigning Knoxville Raceway track champion who is closing in on 200 career sprint car victories, persevered and battled through a pair of Last Chance Showdowns, forced to do so after not transferring through his respective heat races.
“A decent weekend…just got behind the eight ball both nights with qualifying,” Brian Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, HAWK Hunting, Ditzfeld Transfer, No. 21 sprint car, said. “I felt like we made good decisions all weekend and got better every time we were on the track. Still trying to figure out these new tires and see what they need.
“Chad, Dad, Justin, and Lath are all working very well together,” Brown added. “Excited to race every weekend from now through November.”

Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with another action-packed weekend with the Greatest Show On Dirt, this time visiting US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, and 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8. The stop at 81 Speedway – the fifth annual Jason Johnson Classic – will award a $20,000 payday.
