GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (August 20, 2024) – In terms of schedule, it was a short weekend for Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing – only entering one event on Sunday, August 18 – but in terms of results, there was nothing short about it, concluding his visit to Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri, with a podium finish, his tenth top-five result of the season.
Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, Hawk Hunting, No. 21 sprint car, finished second in his podium outcome, taking the lead at one point after commencing the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series main event from the inside of row three. The Grain Valley, Missouri, ace via Higginsville, Missouri, finished fourth in his respective heat race, kicking off the evening with the fastest qualifying time – he was the last car to take time.
“Overall, a solid night for our Casey’s | FVP team at Missouri State Fair. Went out last and set quick time…that really set the tone for us,” Brown noted. “We were good early on…found a different line than everyone else which got us to the front. Unfortunately, Aryton [Gennetten] was better than us late in the race. Found the bottom and snuck by. Sometimes it’s better to be running second than leading. Regardless, I’m proud of everyone. Ready to get back to Knoxville on Saturday.”
