GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (February 13, 2024) – The 2024 season is officially underway for “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, and although the reigning Tuscarora 50 and 360 Knoxville Nationals champion was unable to claim victory in his opening week of competition, he did the next best thing – scoring multiple top-tens, a top-five included, against the Greatest Show On Dirt.

Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, HAWK Hunting, Ditzfeld Transfer, No. 21 sprint car, opened his 2024 campaign with four nights of DIRTcar Nationals competition at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, on February 7-10. Four nights of action resulted in a pair of top-tens for the Higginsville, Missouri, native, finishing fourth and seventh during the first two evenings, respectively. Brown raced on to finish 11th in Friday’s program, followed by a 21st-place score in the week’s $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday.

Without saying, Brown’s stellar results were padded by stellar qualifying efforts, timing fastest within his respective flight three out of four nights.

As an added bonus to Brown’s statistical outcome, his eventual top-five was the product of row four, climbing four spots from eighth on the grid.

“Just a very, very solid week for our Casey’s/FVP No. 21 team,” Brown stated. “Our qualifying was spectacular all week, and that’s the foundation for success especially against that level of competition. Our dash draws weren’t the best, but to come out of Florida with a top five and a pair of top-tens is a huge accomplishment and I couldn’t be more proud.

“Great job all week by my crew Chad Morgan, Justin Lawyer, and Devin Brenneman,” Brown added. “It’s their hard work that kept us in contention.”

ON DECK:
Tentatively, Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series doubleheader in Oklahoma and Kansas on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30; Thunderbird Speedway and 81 Speedway, respectively.
