Bova Ends Season on Podium at Mercer
Finishes 2015 with Six Wins and Title

Struthers, Ohio (September 29, 2015) – Cody “Bonzai” Bova concluded his 2015 campaign on a high note during the recent weekend by earning a podium finish at Mercer Raceway Park’s “Little Guys Nationals” on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26. Despite suffering from mechanical failure during Friday’s portion of the two-day event, Bova would recover on Saturday and finish third during the $1,000-to-win, “Little Guys Nationals” finale on September 26. The driver of the J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, J.S. Paris Excavating, #20B, 305 sprint car was pleased with weekend results and is already looking ahead to 2016.
“Not a bad showing for our team this weekend” explained Bova, “Friday night, we ran into some issues with our radiator and had to end the feature early. Disappointing for us because we were running well at the time. We recovered on Saturday and found ourselves back on the podium.”
“Hard to believe the year is over” said Bova, “We had a great season and I’m proud of everyone involved. So many people to thank including my entire family and sponsors. I want to also thank Skip Dougherty for the opportunity to drive his car this season. We had some success and I am already looking forward to that opportunity next year. Scott Priester took the time to help me every chance he had when he wasn’t racing. We’ll start to get our program ready for next season. We are working on a few things so we hope to release good news soon!”
Cody Bova ended his 2015 season with six, 305 sprint car victories in Pennsylvania, including five at Mercer Raceway Park. The Struthers, Ohio, native also earned a career-first track championship during his 2015 campaign; capturing the Mercer Raceway Park “Outlaw Sprint Warriors” title in late August.
