Wampum, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected teammate, Brandon Matus, officially kick-started his 2012 season with All-Star Circuit of Champions sprint car competition in Ocala, Florida.
The Western Pennsylvania youngster told fans earlier this winter that he intended on competing with “America’s Series” on a semi-regular basis in 2012- with full intentions on starting the upcoming season in Florida. Matus did just that by participating in three full nights of action with the All-Stars at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida.
Just under thirty cars were signed-in for the Thursday- Friday-Saturday event; which included very stiff All-Star and Pennsylvania competition. The All-Stars were lead by Danny Lasoski, Tim Shaffer, Dale Blaney, and David Gravel- with the talented Pennsylvania roster lead by Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, and Western Pennsylvania rising star, Danny Holtgraver.
Matus had a very beneficial weekend in the “Sunshine State” – collecting valuable track time while also earning a starting spot in all three All-Star A-main events! Brandon’s accomplishments on the weekend included a B-main win on Saturday evening – while also finishing the feature inside the top 20. He finished a high 19th on Saturday night.

The All-Star Circuit of Champions will have some time off before their next scheduled event. Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio will host the traveling sprinters for two full shows on Friday and Saturday – April 6th and 7th. Friday night’s preliminary event will pay $3,000 to the winner – with Saturday night’s finale paying $5,000!
