Evans City, PA (April 28th, 2013) – Brandon Spithaler of Evans City, Pennsylvania not only earned his first ‘410’ sprint car victory of the 2013 season on Saturday evening, April 27th, at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania; but, the victory was Spithaler’s third consecutive during opening night of ‘Saturday Night Live!’ competition at the 3/8’s mile oval. The driver of the Cycle Warehouse no. 22 ‘410’ sprint car started his streak of Mercer Raceway Park wins during ‘opening night’ of weekly competition back in 2011; and has now won three straight including his victory on April 27th. Spithaler earned the 25-lap, ‘410’ sprint car victory on Saturday evening from the outside of the fourth (4th) row; surviving extra-rough track conditions and passing seven (7) cars, including the race leader on the 24th circuit, to secure the victory. Spithaler would make the winning pass on the white-flag lap; maneuvering by race leader, Scott Priester, and a lapped-car to earn the ‘hat trick’ win. There were sixteen (16) Luxaire Heating & Cooling and New Wilmington Motors ‘410’ sprint cars signed in for action on Saturday evening at the Mercer Raceway Park; including Friday, April 26th winner at Lernerville Speedway, Jack Sodeman Jr. A full rundown from Saturday night’s main event can be found online at www.mercerracewaypark.com.

Brandon Spithaler’s win at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania allowed the Western Pennsylvania native to go two-for-two this weekend in podium appearances. The familiar black ‘22’ found the podium for the first time this past weekend on Friday evening, April 26th, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; finishing third (3rd), officially, during the 25-lap, ‘410’ sprint car main event to help open the speedway’s 2013 ‘Fab Four’ weekly season. The third place finish at the Lernerville Speedway was Spithaler’s best career finish at the world-famous Sarver oval. Jack Sodeman Jr. earned the Lernerville sprint car victory on Friday night. An official rundown from Lernerville Speedway’s ‘410’ sprint car main event can be found at the speedway’s online home: www.lernerville.com.

Brandon Spithaler, and the Cycle Warehouse ‘22’ team, plans to be in action on two separate occasions during the first weekend of May; beginning on Friday, May 3rd, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; and ending their upcoming weekend on Sunday, May 5th, at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania. Lernerville Speedway will be hosting another round of ‘Fab Four’ weekly action on Friday evening, May 3rd; while Sunday night’s program at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex will feature a $4,000-to-win main event for the ‘410’ sprint cars. This will be the first appearance, ever, by the ‘410’ sprinters at the Markleysburg oval. For more information on the “410 Showdown In The Laurel Highlands,” please visit the speedway online at www.roaringknob.com; or contact Mike Leone at 724-967-2363. Although a majority of Spithaler’s upcoming weekend will consist of winged sprint car competition, the recent ‘MRP’ winner will get the opportunity to jump start his non-wing season on Saturday evening, May 4th.

The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) non-wing sprint car tour, which sanctions non-wing ‘410’ sprint car events in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana, will open their 2013 season this Saturday evening, May 4th, at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. Spithaler, who recently declared himself as a full-time competitor with the B.O.S.S. series in 2013, will be in action at the Fremont oval on Saturday evening; hoping to match his recent Western Pennsylvania winged results and kick-off his non-wing season in a great manner. Spithaler will pilot the Tom Burkey owned, Superior Tank and Trailer sponsored, no. 57 non-wing ‘410’  sprint car during his 2013 B.O.S.S. campaign. The Fremont Speedway B.O.S.S. event will feature a 33-lap, $3,300-to-win ‘Mike Hensel Memorial’ main event for the non-wing sprint cars. A healthy field of non-wing competitors are expected to be in action at the Fremont Speedway on Saturday evening; including a handful of weekly wing competitors who may decide to ‘take their tops off’ on Saturday evening.
