Brandon Spithaler picked up the sprint car victory this weekend at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania! The Fully Injected driver lead wire-to-wire in the 25 lap, 410 sprint car main event; making it a second consecutive ‘opening night’ victory for the Evan City native at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval. Spithaler finished fourth in his respective heat race; allowing the black ’22’ to be eligible for the evening’s redraw. The redraw would turn out to be in Spithaler’s favor, as he drew the pole position for the feature line-up. He would hold off Jack Sodeman Jr. and Eric Williams during the entire 25 lap contest.
