$3,000 Top Prize To Award Winner of 30-Lap Main Event at Mercer Raceway Park

Evan City, PA (June 14th, 2013) – The annual ‘Auto Racers For Kids Charity Event’ will highlight the Mercer Raceway Park dirt oval this Saturday evening, June 15th; giving Evan City, Pennsylvania native Brandon Spithaler three-thousand more reasons to make another appearance in ‘MRP’ victory lane. The ‘410’ sprint cars will headline the ‘Auto Racers For Kids Charity Event’ on Saturday evening at the Mercer 3/8’s mile dirt oval; with a $3,000 award going to the winner of the 30-lap main event. Brandon Spithaler, who pilots the familiar Cycle Warehouse no. 22 sprinter when in action with ‘the wing on,’ is a former winner at the Mercer Raceway Park, and looks forward to returning to the speedway this Saturday evening. In fact, Spithaler has earned two (2) victories at the speedway in 2013. One victory occurred during Mercer Raceway Park’s opening night of competition for the ‘410’ sprint cars, with the second victory taking shape during a non-wing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) event earlier this year. Brandon Spithaler is a full-time competitor with the non-wing B.O.S.S. tour; driving the Tom Burkey owned, Superior Tank and Trailer sponsored, no. 57B.

Saturday night’s charity program will be a non-point and non-profit racing event; with all proceeds benefiting organizations such as: Court Appointed Special Advocates, St. Martin’s Center, Children’s Miracle Network, Make-a-Wish, Sarah Reed Children’s Center, Hunters Hope, Kiwanis of Erie, Achievement Center, Shriner’s Hospital, Newspapers in Education, Operation Warm, Butterflies for Kids, Junior Achievement, SafeNet, Erie Home for Children and Adults, and Community Shelter Services. The 2013 edition is also made possible by Bonnell’s Collision Center.

Brandon Spithaler will jump-start his upcoming weekend with an appearance at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania later this evening (Friday, June 14th). The former Lernerville Speedway sprint car winner will take part in another round of ‘Fab Four’ racing action at the Lernerville Speedway this evening; which features all four (4) of the speedway’s weekly racing divisions including the ‘410’ sprint cars. Brandon Spithaler will enter the Lernerville Speedway gates leading the current Lernerville Speedway track championship chase. The familiar Cycle Warehouse ‘22’ team has one (1) win at the Lernerville Speedway in 2013 during ‘Fab Four’ action, and will look for win number two later this evening. All ‘Fab Four’ racing events at the Lernerville Speedway award points towards their overall track championship; with Spithaler leading the way in the ‘410’ sprint car chase by five (5) markers over Jack Sodeman Jr.
