Evans City, PA (April 19th, 2013) – With ‘Mother Nature’ already winning Friday night’s ‘Fab Four’ event at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; Western Pennsylvania ‘410’ sprint car competitor, Brandon Spithaler, will turn his attention to the Mercer Raceway Park where he is in search of a third consecutive ‘Saturday Night Live’ opening night sprint car victory. Spithaler, who recently announced his intentions to run for the 2013 Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) non-wing sprint car championship, will spend Saturday evening, April 20th, racing at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania; helping the track celebrate another opening night of weekly competition. Spithaler is the two-time and defending winner of Mercer Raceway Park’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ opening night event (2011 & 2012); and looks to earn a third consecutive this Saturday evening.

Mercer Raceway Park, who hosts the winged ‘410’ sprint cars during each of their ‘Saturday Night Live’ weekly shows, will welcome Western Pennsylvania’s most competitive sprint car teams on Saturday evening for their first appearance of the season. Spithaler has five (5) career wins at the Mercer County dirt oval; including two (2) during his 2012 season. In fact, one of Spithaler’s two victories at Mercer Raceway Park in 2012 came during non-wing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) competition. The B.O.S.S. win was the first of Spithaler’s career. The Evan City, Pennsylvania native found Mercer Raceway Park victory lane once during his 2010 season; twice during his 2011 season; and twice again in 2012.

Brandon Spithaler plans to visit Mercer Raceway Park occasionally during his 2013 campaign. The pilot of the familiar Cycle Warehouse no. 22 ‘410’ sprint car will make visits to ‘MRP’ when his B.O.S.S. schedule permits. The twenty-one-year-old will be making frequent trips ‘up and down’ the highway in 2013; focusing his attention on not only his full-time B.O.S.S. schedule, but also ‘Ohio Region’ UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions events. The 2013 B.O.S.S. schedule begins on Saturday, May 4th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. www.buckeyesprints.com for more information.

Mercer Raceway Park gates will open at 4 on April 20th; with hot laps starting at 6:30, and racing will begin at 7. General admission for adults will be $15. Seniors (60 and over) will be $13, and students (ages 9-18) will be $7. Children (8 and under) are always free. The economical Family Pass will be $32 and that will be good for up to two adults and four minors. Pit passes will be $25. For more information, visit www.mercerracewaypark.com.
