Evan City, PA (March 25th, 2013) Evan City, Pennsylvania native and former Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) winner, Brandon Spithaler, has announced officially that he will be following the entire Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) schedule in 2013; and will chase the overall series championship. Spithaler will team up with long-time car owner and sprint car enthusiast, Tom Burkey, and pilot his Superior Tank and Trailer no. 57 sprint car during the entire B.O.S.S. wingless tour. The upcoming B.O.S.S. schedule will kick off on Saturday, May 4th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio; and conclude on Saturday, October 12th at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

“We are excited to chase the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series title in 2013” explained Spithaler, “I have to thank Tom Burkey for this opportunity…I also need to thank my father…without his support, I wouldn’t be where I am today…It should be a great season and i’m anxious to get started!”

The 2013 B.O.S.S. tour, which sanctions non-wing ‘410’ sprint car events in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, is currently made up of fourteen events, at nine different dirt tracks, across three states. Spithaler followed most of the B.O.S.S. schedule during his 2012 campaign; missing only a few events and ending the season sixth in a final B.O.S.S. standings. Spithaler’s lone B.O.S.S./wingless win of 2012 came at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania back on May 19th, 2012.

Although a large portion of Spithaler’s focus in 2013 will go towards the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series title, the Western Pennsylvania competitor also plans to ‘hit the road’ with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions for multiple events in Ohio and Pennsylvania. When not in the Tom Burkey owned no. 57 wingless sprint car, Spithaler will be piloting his own Cycle Warehouse no. 22 ‘410’ sprint car around the region. Spithaler plans to enter nearly fifteen (15) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ events during his 2013 season; with the majority of them located in the nearby ‘Ohio Region.’

“We want to race the bigger shows and hit a lot of the regional All Star events” said Spithaler, “Traveling around will help us gain the experience that we need to be competitive on the road…I guess our overall goal this season, besides a B.O.S.S. championship, is to earn an All Star win…we are going to race as much as we can; bottom line!”

To help ensure a busy upcoming race season, Brandon Spithaler also plans to make regular appearances at the Mercer (PA) Raceway Park and Lernerville (PA)  Speedway for weekly events when not out on the road. For many seasons, Spithaler was a regular at these two Western Pennsylvania ovals, and still plans to attend whenever possible for additional experience and track time. Incidentally, the former Mercer Raceway Park winner will make his first start of the 2013 season next Saturday, April 13th at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania.

“I just can’t thank Tom Burkey and everyone involved enough for these opportunities…all of my sponsors, as well as my family, have been more than supportive…hopefully we can accomplish some of our goals this season, and ultimately, earn a B.O.S.S. championship!”
