Evan City, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected hotshoe, Brandon Spithaler, will take the wings off this weekend and compete with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series on Friday, May 18th, and Saturday, May 19th! The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) is a newly formed ‘410’ wingless sprint car series based out of Chillicothe, Ohio that will host roughly 15 events in 2012; including a select number of events in Western Pennsylvania! Spithaler, who spends most of his weekends racing with the wings on at Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park, will compete with the invading wingless warriors on Friday at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, and on Saturday at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, PA.

Spithaler will be piloting the Superior Tank and Trailer #57 owned by Tom Burkey. The pair will team up for a select number of wingless events in 2012; including a majority of the BOSS scheduled programs.

“We are looking to be a top 5 or top 10 car this weekend at both events” explain Brandon Spithaler about the upcoming BOSS weekend, “We are obviously going to try and win a race, but definitely looking to learn as much as we can and take all of that to the next BOSS event we attend.”

Spithaler currently sits 8th in the ‘410’ sprint car standings at both Mercer Raceway Park and Lernerville Speedway. The former Limited Sprint Car competitor at Sharon Speedway near Hartford, Ohio owns at win at the Mercer 3/8’s mile in 2012. Spithaler looks to use his Mercer experience to a whole new level this weekend when the BOSS competitors come to town. Although the young man’s wingless experience is limited, he still expects respectable results!

“I’m looking to improve as much as I can as a wingless driver” said Spithaler, “I do expect to finish better at Mercer Raceway Park considering my experience there with the wing on…but definitely shooting to be a top 5/top 10 car!”
