MYERSTOWN, Pa. (May 28, 2019) – Despite a busy stretch that included four World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series events in seven days, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks never lost focus, eventually capping off his long, holiday weekend with a top-ten performance at the always-exciting Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind., on Monday, May 27.

Resulting in his third top-ten finish of the 2019 World of Outlaws season, Brent Marks rallied from 14th and crossed under the final checkers seventh in the running order, pressuring those racing within the top-five in the process.

“That was fun,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “Lawrenceburg is a fun place to race. The biggest thing is being able to keep your nose clean and capitalize on those racing hard in front of you. We were able to advance forward pretty quick and stay out of trouble. Hats off to my guys. They work hard with very little credit. They are the backbone of this team and I wouldn’t be in this position without them.”

In addition to his visit to the Hoosier State, Marks made starts at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway on Tuesday May 21, followed by back-to-back nights of Patriot Nationals competition at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on Friday and Saturday, May 24 & 25. Marks finished 11th, 14th and 19th, respectively, during his visits to New Jersey and North Carolina, and although he was scored deep on Saturday, Marks was battling for a top-ten when a cut tire ended his forward progress. In fact, an abrasive racing surface was responsible for many cut tires during the 30-lap program.

Up next on the schedule, Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will visit Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the Music City – Nashville, Tennessee – for the inaugural Music City Outlaw Nationals on Friday and Saturday, May 31 & June 1. The two-day spectacle will award a total winner’s share equalling $40,000; $15,000 on Friday and $25,000 on Saturday.
