Brent Marks Puts On Passing Clinic with All Stars at Port and Selinsgrove
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
MYERSTOWN, Pa. (April 25, 2016) – The “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks joined Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for back-to-back programs in Central Pennsylvania during the recent weekend, participating in a pair of $5,000-to-win “Classics” on Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24. Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M, put on a true passing clinic during his two-day venture with “America’s Series,” advancing a total of 24 positions by the end of action on Sunday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.
“It felt great to advance that many positions in two days, but at the same time, it sucks getting buried that far back,” said Brent Marks. “We drew the very last pill two days in a row, forcing us to qualify last. That can get frustrating, especially if the track slows down in a hurry. Luckily, we kept our nose clean, made each program, and advanced pretty far forward. I just want to thank my team. I have a great group of guys who never give up and keep moving forward. We’ll score another one soon.”
Brent Marks earned two top-ten finishes during his weekend swing with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, kicking off the two-day campaign with a sixth place performance during the inaugural Keith Kauffman Classic at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal on Saturday, April 23. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native charged forward from 21st on the main event grid to capture his top-ten finish, advancing a total of 15 positions at the end of 30 laps.
Weekend competition continued on Sunday night, April 24, at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove. Marks rejoined the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for the $5,000-to-win, Ray Tilley Classic, resulting in an effort similar to that of Port Royal Speedway. Brent Marks was forced to start 16th on the main event grid, as a result of his qualifying and heat race outcomes, and charged forward to seventh at the end of 30 circuits. The “Myerstown Missile” now has a total of four top-ten finishes with the regional series in 2016.
Up next on the schedule is a potential three-race weekend in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Plans include visiting Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on Friday, April 29, followed by an undetermined destination on Saturday, April 30. Initial plans included traveling to the Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, for Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, but a final decision will not be determined until later in the week. The upcoming weekend will conclude with Fred Rahmer’s $4,000-to-win, “Party at the Path” at Path Valley Speedway Park near Spring Run, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, May 1.
“Our upcoming weekend schedule isn’t quite determined yet,” said Brent Marks. “We are going to wait and see what happens. Either way, we’ll be ready to rock and roll. I just want to thank everyone who helps us get up and down the road. We have some amazing sponsors who believe in us and support us through every decision. We’ll try to get them another win this weekend.”
