MYERSTOWN, PA (September 28, 2017)– For a third consecutive time at the famed Eldora Speedway, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks was the KSE Hard Charger with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, this time advancing from 22nd to eighth in the 30-lap Feature. It was Marks’ 19th top-ten finish in his rookie campaign with the World of Outlaws.
The following night at Lernerville (PA) Speedway, Marks was on track for another strong outing before catching the wrong end of a tricky cushion while running seventh. Marks rejoined the field and was scored 14th.
After nearly two months on the West Coast racing at new tracks night in and night out, Brent Marks and his two-man team will finally return “home’ this weekend and enter the Champion Racing Oil National Open at Williams Grove Speedway. “It’s nice to spend a couple days at home and have some familiarities back in my life a little bit,” Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/ Eagle Hotel/No. 19, said with a smile. “Hopefully we can capitalize on the car speed we have and come away with a top-five finish”
The Champion Racing Oil National Open is one of sprint car racing’s crown jewels and pays a hefty $50,000 to win and attracts one of the toughest fields in sprint car racing combining the stiff Pennsylvania Posse regulars, the 16 World of Outlaws full-timers, and a handful of top-tier invaders. It all gets started at Williams Grove later this evening (September 28), which will also feature the Summer Nationals Feature which was postponed due to rain. Marks will start 18th in that $20,000 to win event.
Upcoming:
9/28 – Williams Grove National Open
9/29 – Williams Grove National Open
9/30 – Williams Grove National Open
Quick Results:
9/22 – Eldora Speedway – 8th
9/23 – Lernerville Speedway – 14th
