GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (October 7, 2024) – A short trip down the highway, but big money on the line for “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, as I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, is set to host High Limit Racing’s FVP Platinum Batteries Midweek Money Championship on Tuesday, October 8. The event, just 15 minutes from Brown’s Grain Valley, Missouri, race shop, will award a $20,000 payday.
Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, Hawk Hunting, No. 21 sprint car, is certainly no stranger to I-70 Speedway, earning a recent POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League victory at the facility on Saturday, September 28.
Brian Brown will roll into I-70 Speedway fresh off of Williams Grove Speedway’s National Open featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on October 4-5. Although missing the top-ten in each of the weekend outings, Blackjack had plenty of shining moments including the fourth-fastest qualifying time, as well as a heat race victory – each of which occurring in Saturday’s $75,000-to-win finale.
“Williams Grove Speedway is tough. If you’re not good and your car isn’t working right, it’s a long 20 seconds around that place,” Brown stated. “We don’t have a great package for that place when it really slows down. Some have it and some don’t…we don’t have it yet. Regardless, we’re always learning. Already looking ahead and excited for Tuesday night at I-70 Speedway. We ran super well there last week and we were able to win, so our confidence is high. It’s going to be a great event. FVP, a primary partner of mine for a long time, is the title sponsor of the race. They have a lot of things going on with the fans. Not to mention, it’s nice to race just 15 minutes from home.”
ON DECK:
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with High Limit Racing’s FVP Platinum Batteries Midweek Money Championship presented by Avanti Windows and Doors at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 8. Future High Limit Racing starts are still tentative.
