GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (November 12, 2024) – It was a solid week in the Tar Heel State for Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, not only qualifying for each of the three World of Outlaws World Finals main events contested, but racing on to score a pair of top-five performances in the process, all of which highlighted with a fourth-place finish in the weekend’s first main event on Thursday, November 7; “Blackjack” started the program from the pole position.
Brown, ace of his Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, Hawk Hunting, No. 21 sprint car, continued on to finish 13th on Friday, followed by his second top-five on Saturday, this time finishing fifth from second on the grid. With all results considered, Blackjack will roll into the off-season with 29 top-tens to his credit, 14 of which top-five results including a pair of main event wins, his most recent being a POWRi score at I-70 Speedway.
Brown earned Thursday’s pole by way of heat race and dash victories.
“Overall, just a great way to end the season for our Casey’s | FVP team. I had a fast car every time we hit the track, from qualifying night through Saturday. We had made some changes to our car and it felt like we went in the right direction. We really proved that once we got to Charlotte,” Brown said. “We probably should have had two podiums and another top-ten, but I think I needed to do a better job moving around the track when it counted…especially as the track changed throughout the weekend. The track crew did a lot of work to keep the track in shape, but as 25 laps goes on, lines tend to move and I needed to be better at changing with the lines. With the Outlaws, if you’re off a little bit, they’ll expose you.
“Very exciting heading into the winter with that much car speed,” Brown added. “Gives us a needed pep in our step and makes us that much more excited for next year. Can’t express how proud I am…ready to get the new year going.”
