GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (August 29, 2022) – Trailing Clute, Texas’ Aaron Reutzel entering the final Knoxville Raceway program of the 2022 season, Brian Brian and Brian Brown Racing put it all together on Saturday night at the Sprint Car Capital of the World and concluded the two-feature program on top of the standings, scoring their sixth feature victory of the year along the way while adding on another podium result in the process.
For Brown, the Knoxville Raceway track championship bumps his career total to five in the 410 ranks, owning one 360 title, as well. “Blackjack” now owns 60 sprint car victories at Knoxville Raceway, tied for second all-time with Doug Wolfgang.
Brown, driver of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld Transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, No. 21 sprint car, scored his 60th victory during the evening’s make-up feature, driving ahead from sixth on the grid. Powering around Justin Henderson for second on lap three, Brown’s eventual takeover occurred at Ian Madsen’s misfortune, as the driver of the TKS Motorsports No. 2KS broke suspension components while in command. Brown’s victory earned the Higginsville, Missouri, native a $5,000 payday.
A third-place finish during the regularly scheduled program propelled Brown’s momentum heading into the eventual make-up feature; he started fourth.
“That guy was my hero,” said Brown of tying Doug Wolfgang on the all-time win list. “All of those guys…it really probably hasn’t sunk in who we’ve passed the last couple of years. I dreamed of racing here one day and just wanted to be a part of (uncle) Danny’s (Lasoski) wins. To be second all-time for now to him, is pretty special. Danny was quick to remind me, I’m only (52) wins behind him. I know this probably means a lot to my grandpa (George). Being second to Danny is an honor. I’m proud of this team. We didn’t plan to run for the point championship. We missed two races, but we ran good enough the other times to put us in a good spot. We had the point lead going into the Capitani Classic. I just messed up and screwed things up for our team. We knew we had a good opportunity tonight, and we were good enough to win.”

Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with a four-race weekend in the Keystone State, set to invade Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway, and once again at Port Royal Speedway on Friday through Monday, September 2-5.
