Brock Zearfoss grows anxious for Memorial Day weekend triple-header
JONESTOWN, PA (May 22, 2017) – With the intent to end the month of May with a bang, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will spend the next four days prepping two different race cars, both of which will be featured during competition in Central Pennsylvania. The three-time Central Pennsylvania main event winner will join his fellow Pennsylvania Posse competitors during action at Williams Grove Speedway, as well as Port Royal Speedway, during the upcoming holiday weekend, all capped off with the Bob Weikert Memorial finale on Sunday, May 28, worth $10,000.
“This is a perfect opportunity for us to really gain some momentum,” Brock Zearfoss explained. “We didn’t have a very good weekend with the World of Outlaws; missed the A-main on all three nights. We already put all of that behind us. There is a lot of big money on the line this weekend. I think we have the potential and the speed necessary to win. We’ve been to victory lane once this year, but we want to do it again. I think this weekend is a perfect time to do that.”
The Bob Weikert Memorial weekend at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” will activate on Saturday, May 27, with a $5,000 preliminary main event, followed by the $10,000-to-win finale on Sunday, May 28. Zearfoss will pilot his Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/No. 3Z during the entire weekend program.
Before making the trek north to Juniata County, Zearfoss will rejoin the Aaron Long-owned/H&N Landscaping/RV 4 Wheel Drive/Leahys Auto Body & Towing/No. 58 operation for a visit to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday, May 26. A Diamond Series program is on the agenda, awarding $4,000-to-win after 25 laps of green flag competition.
Brock Zearfoss will enter the holiday weekend with one victory to his credit thus far in 2017, also recording a recent top-ten finish; tenth at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night, May 13. The former Port Royal Speedway championship runner-up is currently fifth in the track championship standings, earning six top-ten finishes in seven main event starts.
“I’m in a great position right now and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities,” Brock Zearfoss said. “We’ve been having a solid start to the year. I think we’ve been consistent and obviously fast enough to earn victories in Central Pennsylvania. Once Aaron [Long] and I begin to build some momentum, we’ll be in a similar situation with the No. 58 team. It is only a matter of time.”
