Brock Zearfoss opens new year with back-to-back top-tens

JONESTOWN, PA (March 27, 2017) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss opened his 2017 season in a big way; recording back-to-back top-ten finishes during competition in Central Pennsylvania, including a podium performance on Friday night, March 24, at Williams Grove Speedway. Zearfoss’ podium run, finishing third officially, occurred during the Williams Grove Speedway season opener, maintaining a top-five position during the entire 25-lap distance after starting on the inside of row two.
“We drew really well all weekend. That put us in great positions from the start, so we capitalized on that,” Brock Zearfoss explained. “The car was where it needed to be all weekend. To come out of the trailer like that and hit it off with a podium finish at Williams Grove Speedway, followed by a top-ten at Port Royal, says a lot about this team. I think we were a little better than where we finished at Port Royal, but it’s tough to make up ground during a non-stop race. I’m excited to get back to the track this weekend.”
Brock Zearfoss followed up his third place performance at Williams Grove Speedway with a seventh place finish at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, March 25. After starting sixth on the feature grid, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native raced inside the top-ten during the entire non-stop, 25-lap program. The 2016 Port Royal Speedway championship runner-up opened his “Speed Palace” visit with a heat race victory.
Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Invisible Glass/Walker Performance Filtration/No. 3Z, will continue his 2017 campaign with another Williams Grove Speedway/Port Royal Speedway doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1. Zearfoss owns one victory at each of the Central Pennsylvania half-miles, each occurring during competition in 2016; the first two victories of his young career in a 410 cubic inch sprint car..
“I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work,” Zearfoss said. “We’re working to put ourselves in track championship contention by the end of the year. I would say we are off to a really good start.”
