Brock Zearfoss Qualifies for National Open Main
Potential 600cc Opportunity This Weekend
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Jonestown, PA (October 6, 2015) – After failing to qualify for the Champion Racing Oil National Open A-main during his last two attempts, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss finally made his National Open main event debut. Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, #3Z, 410 sprint car, qualified for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sanctioned event by finishing second during his respective heat race. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native finished 24th officially during the 40-lap, $50,000-to-win main event; going pit-side with seven laps remaining due to a flat rear tire. Despite a tough end to an exciting evening, Zearfoss was proud of his team’s accomplishments and looks ahead to future starts with the “Greatest Show on Dirt.”
“It was a pretty good night for us” said Zearfoss, “Not the way we wanted it to end, but all in all, it was a good accomplishment for this team. We’ve been trying to make the National Open feature for the last two seasons. The toughest drivers and teams in the world are there and to qualify for that race is extra special. Sucks we had to sit through the rain for three days, but I’m glad we were able to use the Sunday rain date. Great way to end a long, wet weekend.”
Up next on the schedule is a potential visit to the Greenwood Valley Action Track near Millville, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss will pilot a 600cc micro sprint during the 15th annual Blaise Alexander Memorial on Saturday, October 10th. Updates regarding that potential plan will be released in the near future.
“I may be driving a 600cc micro this weekend, but we’ll know more later this week” said Zearfoss, “It’s hard to believe the season is almost over. I just want to thank everyone who has been behind me this year. We’ve had our share of tough times and disappointing finishes, but we’ve had plenty of high notes, too. We can’t wait to move ahead and see what next year brings us.”
