Brock Zearfoss Searches for Ways to Improve During Qualifying Time Trials
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 25, 2016) – Despite his 2016 season being full of positive momentum and impressive results, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss continues to struggle with qualifying time trials. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, participated in three consecutive time trial programs during the recent weekend, two of which against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, finishing as high as 14th during feature competition. Zearfoss hopes to improve his time trial attack during the next few weeks, bettering his potential during upcoming high dollar programs.
“We just didn’t put ourselves in a good position all weekend,” said Brock Zearfoss. “We have a great car and a lot of speed, we just haven’t been able to harness that speed during time trials. Timing bad really puts the brakes on; it really puts you behind all night in every lineup. Sunday was our best performance of the weekend, just got too tight. I’m excited for the rest of the year. We’ve been good. There is plenty of time to show everyone we have what it takes to win.”
Brock Zearfoss kicked off his recent triple-header weekend with a 14th place finish during the Tommy Hinnershitz Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday, April 22, all before finishing 16th with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions during Selinsgrove Speedway’s Ray Tilley Classic on Sunday, April 24. Unfortunately, after finishing second at the “Speed Palace” during feature action the weekend prior, Zearfoss would not qualify for the inaugural Keith Kauffman Classic main event at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 23.
“Timing is everything, sets up the entire program,” said Zearfoss. “We’ll be racing in as many time trial shows as possible. We’ll work to improve and the positive results will follow. I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication. We have a long list of supporters who do amazing things for our race team. We’ll get a win for them soon.”
The “Jonestown Jet” will continue his 2016 campaign by returning to Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway this Friday and Saturday, April 29-30. A potential visit to the Path Valley Speedway Park near Spring Run on Sunday, May 1, is also in the works. A decision regarding Sunday will be made later in the week.
