PERTH, Australia (December 28, 2020) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss is having zero trouble becoming acclimated with competing Down Under for car owner Sean Carren and has already turned a pair of Western Australia Speedweek starts into back-to-back top-five finishes, kicking things off with a third-place run at Perth Motorplex in Perth, Australia, on Saturday, December 26. The former All Star, who recently committed to a full season with the Greatest Show On Dirt, started from the pole position during his first Australian feature, the result of a victory during the first of two dashes.

Perth Motorplex, certainly a staple on Australia’s west coast, hosted the first two nights of Western Australia Speedweek with the second round conducted on Monday evening, December 28. Keeping his new found rhythm intact, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native started from the pole position yet again and battled on for another podium run, this time improving one position from two nights prior to finish second to James McFadden. Zearfoss led early before surrendering the top spot McFadden, eventually battling back for a late race surge against the former Australia Sprint Car Champion. Zearfoss peaked his nose ahead of the Monte Motorsports No. 17 late, but McFadden powered ahead, securing the bottom groove to keep Zearfoss at bay.

“It’s been a blast down here. Perth is a tough place to figure out. The track changed a lot over the last two races, but that’s ok. We’ll be ready for when we come back after the New Year,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the AAA Metal Recycling, Goldstar Transport, No. 95W sprint car. “I can’t thank Sean Carren enough for this opportunity. It has been an absolute dream come true to come to Australia to race. I’m confident we have what it takes to get a win while I’m here.”

Brock Zearfoss and Sean Carren will continue their Western Australia Speedweek campaign with a pair of starts on January 1-2, this time visiting Bunbury Speedway on New Year’s Day, followed by a stop at Ellenbrook Speedway on January 2. The 2020/2021 edition of Western Australia Speedweek will conclude with another doubleheader at Perth Motorplex on January 6 and January 9.
