Brown 11th versus Outlaws at Knoxville; Continues to build notebook for August

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 22, 2025) – Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing certainly know their way around the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, and the former multi-time track champion out of Grain Valley, Missouri, certainly proved that point yet again, finishing just shy of a top-ten outcome on Saturday, April 19 – and against a stout field surpassing 60 entries.

Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, Ditzfeld Container Service, No. 21 sprint car, finished 11th in the World of Outlaws Premier Chevy Dealers Clash, earning his way into the 25-lap, $12,000-to-win main event via runner-up performance in his respective heat race. “Blackjack” was seventh-quick in his respective group of qualifiers.

As noted, a field surpassing 60 cars were on hand for the two-day turned one-day World of Outlaws event; a solid mix of Outlaws, High Limit Racing competitors, as well as the region’s finest.

Friday’s event was ultimately canceled due to Mother Nature.

“Kind of an up and down night for the most part at Knoxville…a good night, but still up and down,” Brown stated. “We had hoped to be a little closer to the top of the qualifying outcome just based on previous speed, but we were not. Still managed to work ourselves to second in the heat to qualify for the dash. Despite drawing a bad dash pill, we were able to work our way to sixth which gave us a great opportunity in the feature. Just missed it a little bit in the A and faded to 11th.

“Just off a little bit all night long,” Brown added. “Couldn’t really get ourselves to where we needed to be. The track has ever changing characteristics and you have to be able to respond…whether that’s your car or tires. Ready to get back there this week and continue to build notes for August.”
