GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (August 8, 2022) – Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing put together a sound performance in Knoxville Raceway’s annual 360 Knoxville Nationals, scoring a victory along the way before capping the event with a top-ten performance, finishing sixth officially, in Saturday’s 30-lap finale. Brown’s victory, his fourth of the season at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, occurred during Friday’s 360 Knoxville Nationals preliminary, leading wire-to-wire after starting third on the feature grid.

A slider through turns three and four sealed Brown’s fate in the 360 Knoxville Nationals preliminary. The Higginsville, Missouri, native kicked-off the program with the ninth-fastest qualifying time, charging from fifth to second in his heat race shortly thereafter.

Although full steam ahead in terms of momentum, Brown’s Capitani Classic effort ended short of the top spot, forced to compete in the second of two B-Mains, which he won, after getting upside-down in his respective heat race. “Blackjack” was scored 24th in the Capitani Classic A-Main.

“Can’t say enough about this Casey’s/FVP team and everyone involved. I feel like if our car’s always like this, if we do our job we can beat anyone in the world,” Brown stated, driver of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld Transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, No. 21 sprint car. “We have a big week ahead. Our focus is on Saturday night, but it all starts with our preliminary effort. I’m confident this team has what it needs to be near the front on Saturday night.”
