Pennsylvania continues to stay busy; as a possible 4 race in 5 day scenario is up for grabs this weekend for all of the Fully Injected teams based out of western Pennsylvania. Lernerville Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, Dog Hollow Speedway, and Lernerville Speedway again on Tuesday, will all act as possible racetrack destinations for this weekend.
Central Pennsylvania will also have a busy weekend in store as Williams Grove will host their typical “Outlaw warm-up” on Friday, to prepare for the outlaw Summer Nationals invasion next week. They run their Friday night program as if it were a World of Outlaws sanctioned event; complete with time trials. Lincoln Speedway and Port Royal Speedway will both hold Saturday night action. Cory Haas, who took the time to put a Fully Injected decal on his car after believing it could have been a possible good luck charm, recently won the biggest 410 race of his career; winning the $7,000 to win Pennsylvania speedweek opener at Lincoln Speedway just a few short weeks ago. He will compete at the Williams Grove “Outlaw Tune-Up” to prepare for the World of Outlaws following that will be pulling into Mechanicsburg later next week.
Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania, which acts primarily as a home for late model action on Friday nights, will host the 410 sprint car class for the first time in their track history this Sunday night. The sprints will race for a $2500 to win purse, which will act as a three race weekend finale for perhaps some of the western Pennsylvania and central PA travelers.
Tuesday night, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will head to the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania for the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup. Two 30 lap features will highlight the evening; with both paying $15,000 to win.
WoO Recent News: Donny Schatz picked up the win at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio for the Brad Doty Classic just a few minutes ago. The Fargo, North Dakota native grabbed the lead with roughly 10 laps to go and held off charges by Sam Hafertepe Jr. and Brad Sweet to earn the World of Outlaws victory. The 4 time consecutive World of Outlaws champion has won 3 times this year, including tonight, with the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt.’ He and the rest of the Outlaws will return to action Friday and Saturday night at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the annual $50,000 to win Kings Royal.
