Caleb Armstrong looks for fresh start during upcoming Attica and Wayne County visits
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
NEW CASTLE, IN (August 29, 2017) – After a frustrating end to his month of August, finishing 15th during the Open Wheel Championships finale at Atomic Speedway on Saturday, August 26, New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong will move into Labor Day weekend in search of a fresh start, working to kick off the month of September in a big way by adding another five-figure payday to his recent racing resume.
Armstrong, pilot of the Baker Crop Insurance/Neal Metal Recycling/All-Star Performance/Armstrong Farms/No. 7C, will join the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for a $10,000-to-win doubleheader during Labor Day weekend, beginning with the Dirt Classic Ohio at Attica (OH) Raceway Park on Saturday, September 2, followed by the Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County Speedway on Sunday, September 3. On top of the five-figure paydays, each event will award full points toward the Arctic Cat All Star championship.
Before the Dirt Classic Ohio program begins at Attica Raceway Park, which will utilize a unique, point system format to set the evening’s main event starting lineup, Armstrong will participate in the Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket make-up feature that was originally scheduled for Friday, June 16. Washed away by Mother Nature just as feature cars started to stage, the event was postponed to Labor Day weekend, still giving drivers an opportunity to earn a portion of the feature purse, as well as full points toward the Arctic Cat All Star championship.
“We’re pretty excited to race for that kind of money this weekend,” Armstrong explained, the 2017 Great Lakes Dirt Nationals champion worth $15,000. “This is a perfect opportunity for us to win another big race, keep ourselves in the battle for second in the All Star championship, and kick off the month of September on a good note. The last few weekends haven’t been the best according to our standards, but tomorrow is a new day. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who support me and get me from race to race. We have a lot on the line this weekend. I’d like to get another big win for them.”
