Caleb Armstrong will hunt for Chili Bowl Nationals title beginning Thursday on John Christner Trucking Night
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
TULSA, OK (January 10, 2018) – New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong will attempt to capture Chili Bowl Nationals gold in 2018, launching his campaign atop one of dirt’s biggest stages on Thursday afternoon, January 11, during John Christner Trucking Qualifying Night. Over 350 midget sprint car entries will make the call over four nights of preliminary action, all seeking an opportunity to start in the coveted, 55-lap A-main on Saturday night.
Armstrong, a former preliminary night winner during Chili Bowl Nationals competition, had an opportunity to test and tune his BM Motorsports/FK Rod Ends/King Brothers Concrete/Integra Shocks/No. 49ER machine on Monday during Chili Bowl Nationals practice. Despite an early tumble, resulting in no permanent damage nor issues, practice session results were motivating for the Indiana native.
“The car was fine. I just forgot it didn’t have a wing on it,” Armstrong chuckled regarding his practice roll over. “I tried to get a little too much out of the car right away. No big deal. The car is fine and we were fast during our last practice session. I can’t thank this entire team enough for the opportunity to do this. It all comes down to our performance on Thursday.”
For the fourth year, the Chili Bowl Nationals will be shown online via http://www.racinboys.com. All four nights of qualifying action (Jan 9-12) will be available for pay-per-view purchase. Saturday night’s finale (Jan 13) will be shown Live on the MAVTV Motorsports Network. For a complete listing of channels, and to request MAVTV, log onto http://www.mavtv.com.
