FAWN GROVE, PA (July 20, 2017) – Every young race car driver dreams of being able to compete with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. The 2016 National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year is no different. “I’m really looking forward to running those guys. They are the best the business,” Campbell said.
The Outlaws first visit to Central Pennsylvania was tough for Campbell and the rest of the local Pennsylvania contingency. “I think we are better prepared this time around. But, I am still a long way away from where I need to be,” the second-year 410 driver said. “If we can qualify for these shows, I would be happy with that.”
It’s been a roller coaster year so far for Matt that’s seen the team take a couple of weekends off to regroup and rebuild after some nasty crashes. Combine that with the consistently wet weather and it’s been tough for the MCR No. 16 team to get into a solid rhythm in 2017. They will look to turn it around in a big way this Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove with the World of Outlaws.
Matt Campbell was quick to thank his sponsors that allow him get to the track on a frequent basis: Harrington’s Auto Sales, Accent Metals Custom Metal Polishing, Ramsay Ford, Jim Lowe Snap On Tools, RL Race Fuels, Save Rite Auto Sales and Haas Shocks.
