Silver Dollar Speedway – Saturday May 5 “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial”

The 22nd annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial is on tap this Saturday for the Cancen Oil KWS Series presented by Goodyear at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway. The event is always one of the biggest each season and packs special awards and extra money on the line all night.

The evening will be capped with a 40-lap main event that will pay a minimum of $3,500 with the added money kicked in from Butler Built Performance.

Dave and Diane Durica have once again collected lap money for the night. Each lap of the A-main and Last Chance Qualifier will pay $100 to be distributed among the top three each lap. The leader of the lap gets $50, second $30 and third $20.

Sponsoring the heat races for the 10th consecutive season will be the fan group known as Hoserville. Each heat race winner will stop on the front stretch to be interviewed and will receive a Goodyear right rear tire & five sleeves of tear offs. Each driver will also receive a trophy to hand out to a kid in the stands.

Fast time for the night stands at $1,125 and is named in honor of sprint car super fan “Carwash” Mike Avilla, who passed away last September. The hard charger award for the main event is currently at $200 courtesy of Kaeding Performance.

The pit gate will open at 3pm with the front grandstand gate opening at 5pm, qualifying around 6:30pm and racing beginning around 7pm.
