CHICORA, Pa. (October 27, 2021) – Effective immediately, former multi-time Lernerville Speedway sprint car champion and Sarver native, Carl Bowser, will pilot a second entry under the Hobaugh Motorsports banner, set to make his official debut during the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina.

Bowser, who will pilot the Krill Recycling, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Dirty Mouth Communications, Turner’s Premium Iced Tea, No. 11 sprint car, will not only compete in the season-ending World Finals, but the Western Pennsylvania hotshoe will be active in the Hobaugh entry for the entire 2022 season, racing alongside teammate, as well as team owner, George Hobaugh.

“We’re excited to have Carl join our efforts at Hobaugh Motorsports. He’s a smart guy with a lot of talent and experience. Hopefully we can utilize each other and build a successful team together,” Hobaugh said, a Sharon Speedway winner in 2021. “Things came together pretty quickly over the last few weeks. We didn’t intend on making anything official until early next year, but we got a great jump on things and we’re excited to race at the World Finals together.”

Despite competing within the same stable, Hobaugh and Bowser intend on building their own agendas with different schedules being a potential outcome.

“I don’t think we intend on having the same schedules. Of course, we’ll bounce our schedules off one another, but if he would rather go ‘there’ than ‘here,’ then that will be the case,” Hobaugh continued. “Nights in the shop will give us the opportunity to compare notes and devise a plan, but as far as races go, they may be different.”

In terms of experience, Bowser not only brings a pair of Lernerville Speedway championships to the table, but the 47-time sprint car winner is also a former Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway champion, as well as a Lernerville Speedway Rookie of the Year. In addition, Bowser owns a trio of Western Pennsylvania-based Cavalcade titles, which are calculated from points derived from any sprint car event within Western Pennsylvania and Sharon Speedway.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Hobaugh Motorsports and Krill Recycling for the 2022 season. We have the potential for something special and I am grateful for the opportunity,” Carl Bowser expressed. “We’re privileged to have Turner’s join our efforts, as well, along with Dirty Mouth Communications…it’s a recipe for something great.

“To have the chance to race together at the World Finals is a perfect way to get a jump start on the new year,” Bowser continued. “It’s never too early to prepare for next season.”

The World of Outlaws World Finals, set for Thursday through Saturday, November 4-6, will feature two, full programs for the Greatest Show On Dirt, all of which kicking off with two rounds of qualifying time trials on Thursday. The weekend will continue with back-to-back programs featuring preliminary and feature action on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

“We’re going to do our best to put on a show,” Hobaugh concluded. “It will be a fun trip.”
