BROWNSBURG, Indiana (January 25, 2021) – It took just three starts for Columbus, Indiana’s Tony Stewart to find his way to victory lane in 2021, ultimately ending his three-day visit to Arizona Speedway for the inaugural Wild Wing Shootout with a triumph on Sunday, January 24.
Cashing in for a top prize equaling $10,041, Smoke’s Wild Wing Shootout victory occurred from the pole position, eventually leading all 35 circuits around Arizona Speedway while keeping a pair of West Coast heavy hitters, DJ Netto and Dominic Scelzi, in his rearview mirror. A caution with ten circuits remaining set-up a last-ditch effort for the California duo, but the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer held strong, even withstanding multiple slide job attempts by Scelzi in the closing laps.
Smoke launched the Sunday program with the fastest time during qualifying time trials.
“This is the best track we’ve had all weekend,” said Stewart in Arizona Speedway victory lane. “We knew the start was going to be critical. I felt like we were good right from the start and we were able to set a good pace. Even when we got to traffic, we never lost momentum and we were able to get by guys fairly smoothly. We have a lot of great people behind this car and they allow us to come out here and have fun like this.”

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: N/A [Season begins February 5 at Volusia Speedway Park]
BROWNSBURG, Indiana (January 25, 2021) – Ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, officially kicked-off his 2021 campaign and joined some of the best in the business for the three-day Wild Wing Shootout at Arizona Speedway on January 22-24. Three consecutive nights of 410 sprint car competition resulted in three consecutive top-ten results for the Fargo, North Dakota-native, highlighting the weekend with a runner-up finish on Friday, January 22.
Lining up fifth on the Friday night grid, Schatz was an obvious threat right from the start, eventually working his way through the top five before commencing an epic battle with fellow full-time Outlaw, Carson Macedo, for second. Although the pair were unable to truly challenge eventual winner Buddy Kofoid for the top spot, Schatz and Macedo’s struggle for second continued until the end of the 30-lapper, concluding with Schatz holding off Macedo in a sprint to the flagstand; Schatz’ margin over Macedo equaled three thousandths of a second.
Despite missing the podium the following two evenings, Schatz concluded the inaugural Wild Wing Shootout with back-to-back top-ten appearances, first finishing tenth on Saturday, followed by a sixth-place run during the $10,0410-to-win Shootout finale on Sunday.
In all, Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, advanced eight positions during Wild Wing Shootout feature competition and kicked-off the weekend with a fast time award on Friday.

ST. HELENA, California (January 25, 2021) – Rico Abreu’s first weekend aboard the Works Limited No. 57 ended in success, not only scoring three consecutive top-ten finishes during the inaugural Wild Wing Shootout at Arizona Speedway in San Tan Valley, Arizona, but Abreu improved his finishing position each time out, eventually capping the three-race spectacle, battling head-to-head with some of the best 410 racers in the country, with a fourth-place run on Sunday, January 24.
With Paul Silva on the wrenches, Rico Abreu, driver of the Works Limited, Lucas Oil, Curb Records, No. 57 sprint car, kicked-off Wild Wing Shootout action with a sixth-place result on Friday, a jump of four sports after starting tenth on the feature grid. The following evening, Abreu bettered his result and advanced from row four to finish fifth, ending the 30-lap program between Gio and Dominic Scelzi, respectively.
The St. Helena, California-native was forced to start seventh once again on Sunday, but the six-time main event winner in 2020 was not deterred, eventually climbing three spots to finish fourth during the 35-lap, $10,041-to-win Wild Wing Shootout finale.
Tony Stewart was the finale winner, followed by Dominic Scelzi, DJ Netto, and Abreu.
“It was a great weekend for this Works Limited 57. To come right out of the box and show speed all three nights says a lot about our potential together. We still have some things to work on, but I’m confident we have what it takes to be competitive every night we roll out of the trailer,” Rico Abreu said, who scored a pair of top-fives at Arizona Speedway during the annual Copper Classic in November. “I’m excited to see what the future brings for this team.”

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Jan. 20, 2021) – With the 2021 season commencing later this week, Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR) is pleased to announce its 2021 partner line-up and unveil all-new looks for 10-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series (WoO) champion, Donny Schatz, as well as team owner and three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Tony Stewart. The pair, each kicking-off their respective campaigns with Arizona Speedway’s Wild Wing Shootout on January 21-24, will put into practice highly-competitive agendas during the new year, as Donny Schatz will chase an 11th WoO Series championship, and Tony Stewart will battle head-to-head with the nation’s finest in “true outlaw” fashion.
Rush Truck Centers, the premier solutions provider to the commercial vehicle industry, will once again be a primary partner on Tony Stewart’s familiar No. 14, also fueling Donny Schatz’ championship-proven No. 15. Rush Truck Centers is the largest network of commercial vehicle dealerships in North America, boasting more than 100 dealership locations in 22 states.
Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider that serves both professional installer and do-it-yourself customers with over 4,800 locations across North America, will also be a primary partner on Stewart’s winged sprint car.
Working together to surpass an impressive 2019 win total for Stewart that equaled ten victories across 410c.i. and 360c.i. competition, the Rush Truck Centers/Advance Auto Parts No. 14 team will spend time with multiple sanctioning bodies in 2021 including the All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC), American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), United Sprint Car Series (USCS), IRA Outlaw Sprint Series (IRA), and the Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA).
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing again in 2021 and to have the Rush Truck Centers brand on the winged sprint car entries of Tony Stewart and Donny Schatz,” said W.M. “Rusty” Rush, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Rush Enterprises, Inc. “Just like the drive our employees and customers possess, the TSR teams embody that same determination for success. We look forward to seeing Tony and Donny carry the Rush Truck Centers brand into victory lanes around the country in 2021.”
For a second consecutive season, Carquest, an American automotive parts distribution network owned and operated by Advance Auto Parts through independent retailers, will support Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz as a primary partner setting aim on success from coast-to-coast in 2021 and ultimately a WoO championship.
“Teaming up with champions and fan favorites like Tony Stewart and Donny Schatz is a tremendous opportunity for our brands,” said Junior Word, Division President, Carquest North America. “We are proud to be part of the incredibly successful program that Tony has established while reaching our customers and sprint car fans across the nation. On behalf of our entire team, we look forward to cheering Tony Stewart Racing to many victories in 2021.”

Owned and operated by the Ford Motor Company and headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., Ford Performance is responsible for the brand’s major racing operations globally as well as overseeing the development of Ford’s racing engines.
The 2021 season will see TSR continue its assistance in developing and perfecting Ford Performance’s 410c.i. engine, the FPS 410. In 2020, Ford Performance helped power Schatz to five WoO victories, ending the season third in the Series championship standings. Of Schatz’s five victories two awarded major paydays including a $75,000 check during Schatz’ sixth National Open title at Williams Grove Speedway. A win during Lernerville Speedway’s historic Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup scored Schatz $25,000; the seventh Silver Cup win of Schatz’ career.
Tony Stewart earned FPS 410’s first sprint car victory during IRA action at Plymouth Dirt Track in August of 2019. The 2021 season will be Schatz’s 25th as a full-time WoO competitor and his No. 15 entry will also carry and Ford’s Iconic Silver color to help commemorate the anniversary.
“We’re looking forward to taking what we learned about the FPS 410 engine last year and capitalize on the strong teamwork we developed to make 2021 even better,” said Christian Hertrich, Motorsports Powertrain Supervisor, Ford Performance. “Our goal is to introduce significant hardware updates that will ultimately provide Donny and Tony with a winning package, and the way we plan to do that is by optimizing the use of our Ford Performance analytical tools and testing facilities at both Ford Motor Company and Shaver Specialties throughout the season.”
Continuing an 11-year relationship with the Brownsburg, Ind. based motorsports operation, Curb-Agajanian Racing will again partner with TSR as a co-entrant for both Stewart and Schatz. Partnering in 2010 for the first time, Curb-Agajanian Racing, Curb Records and TSR own a longstanding tradition of monumental success, acquiring not only victories but six Knoxville Nationals championships and six World of Outlaws championships.
“Everyone at Curb Records is very excited about continuing our long, successful relationship with Tony Stewart and Donny Schatz,” said Mike Curb, Founder and Owner of Curb Records. “This has been an amazing partnership and we look forward to another history-making season.”

PERTH, Australia (January 10, 2021) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss capped his first-ever trip Down Under with a perfect score, winning back-to-back main events in a double feature program at Perth Motorplex in Perth, Australia, on Saturday, January 9. The wins, bumping his Australian total to three including a prior triumph at Ellenbrook on January 2, also solidified a Western Australia Speedweek title for Zearfoss, as well as for car owner, Sean Carren. The win at Ellenbrook was a first for the United States.
In addition to three victories, Zearfoss, who scored $5,000 and $10,000, respectively, for his Perth wins, as well as an additional $7,500 for the Speedweek championship, finished no worse than third during the six features contested during Western Australia Speedweek, opening his campaign with a third-place run at Perth on December 26, followed by a pair of runner-up performances at Perth on December 28 and Bunbury on January 1.
With a title comes prestige, as Zearfoss’ name will be added to a competitive list of prior Western Australia Speedweek champions that includes Donny Schatz, Kenny Jacobs, Jack Hewitt, and Jac Haudenschild.
“I can’t say enough about Sean Carren and the entire Goldstar Transport team. Not only were we able to communicate and show speed right out of the gate, but they treated me like one of their own and gave me an incredible experience. Sean presented me with an opportunity of a lifetime and I couldn’t be more thankful for him taking a chance on me,” Zearfoss said, who drove the Sean Carren-owned, Goldstar Transport, GKR Transport, AAA Metal Recycling, Valvoline, No. 95W sprint car during his Australian campaign. “I want to also thank Geoff Kendrick and Lynton Jeffrey for their help in bringing this deal together. My goal was to make the most of this trip and represent the United States at the highest level. To bring that goal to life is pretty surreal.”
Despite the level of success attained, Zearfoss will have little time to celebrate, as the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native is set to begin his 2021 campaign on American soil with a stop at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia, on Saturday, January 30. The Winter Freeze program featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions will award a $10,000 top prize.
Following their Georgia visit, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue the new year with a trek to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, where the team will commence their rookie season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Before kicking things off with the Greatest Show On Dirt, Zearfoss will join the All Stars at Volusia on Wednesday and Thursday, February 3-4; the Outlaws will begin their season the following three evenings on February 5-7.
“The trip to Australia was a perfect momentum kick for our Outlaw season,” Zearfoss continued. “I can’t wait to get started.”
SPECIAL THANKS: Brock Zearfoss would like to thank all of his marketing partners including: Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 8, 2021) – Rowdy Energy, the enhanced hydration formula energy drink created by two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, announced today that it will partner with Pit Pay, the only mobile pit pass app for the motorsports industry, to be co-primary sponsors for two-time Chili Bowl champion Rico Abreu’s entry in this year’s Chili Bowl Nationals. The 35th annual running of the prestigious indoor event will take place Jan. 11-16 at the Tulsa Expo Raceway, a quarter-mile dirt track located inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Abreu, who will once again compete for Keith Kunz Motorsports (KKM), captured back-to-back Chili Bowl titles for the Toyota powered organization in 2015 and 2016. Across 10 Chili Bowls, the 28-year-old driver has finished inside the top five in four of his eight A-Main appearances, including a fifth-place result last year.
“I’ve known Rico quite a few years now and we were texting back and forth and when the idea of sponsoring him in the Chili Bowl came up, I was interested and thought maybe Kyle (Busch) would be as well, so I reached out to him with the idea of co-sponsoring Rico to promote Pit Pay and Rowdy Energy,” said Frank Bolter, founder and owner of Pit Pay. “The Chili Bowl is an event that has a lot of eyes on it, but not only from race fans. It’s such a well-run event that track owners and promoters throughout the country are paying attention, so we felt it was a tremendous opportunity to gain exposure for our company as we look to increase the number of tracks around the country that use our mobile Pit Pay app in its second year.”
“Rico is a two-time Chili Bowl winner and one of the most popular drivers in all of dirt racing, so when Frank reached out to me about co-sponsoring his Toyota for this year’s event, I felt that it was a great opportunity for Rowdy Energy to be a part of this prestigious event with a driver that can deliver results for our brand both on and off the track,” said Kyle Busch, co-founder of Rowdy Energy.
“The Chili Bowl is one my favorite weeks of the racing season and I’m especially pumped up this year to have two new and exciting companies onboard my KKM Toyota,” Abreu said. “I feel like my style is a perfect fit for the Rowdy Energy brand and I’m confident we can help Kyle sell some product because during Chili Bowl week there will be a lot of the fans that need help staying hydrated and focused after they watch all the action in person or via the broadcast every night. The Pit Pay App makes the process of checking into tracks more efficient for grassroots racers and by increasing awareness of this technology I look forward to being able to use it at more tracks around the country this year.”
Abreu spent the majority of his 2020 season racing winged sprint cars, where he picked up two wins in the Midwest Open Wheel Association Sprint car Series, one win during Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek and one win on the All Star Circuit of Champions. He made four Indiana Midget Week starts with KKM in June, with a best finish of sixth, and earned a top five in POWRi among his limited midget schedule this year.
Every lap of the preliminary Chili Bowl action from Monday, Jan. 11 through Saturday, Jan. 16 – heat races, qualifying features, the Race of Champions and Saturday’s “alphabet soup” qualifiers – will be streamed live to FloRacing (FloRacing.com) subscribers. The Chili Bowl Nationals C-, B- and A-mains on Saturday night, Jan. 16, will continue to air live on the MAVTV Motorsports Network and LucasOilRacing.tv.
