Chase Dietz Makes First ‘410’ Start of 2015
‘Hard Luck’ Ends ‘Icebreaker’ Early for Dietz/Gobrecht ‘44’ Team

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

York, PA (March 16th, 2015) – Central Pennsylvania youngster Chase Dietz made his first start of the 2015 season on Sunday afternoon, March 15th during the Lincoln Speedway ‘Icebreaker 30.’ Dietz, who pilots the Scott Gobrecht owned, Golf Cart Services, Bad Boy Buggies, Service Master Clean Janitorial Service of York and Lancaster, no. 44 ‘410’ sprint car, qualified for the $4,000-to-win ‘Icebreaker 30’ main event; earning a front row starting position as a result of the afternoon redraw. Unfortunately, his main event was cut short due to early race contact with fellow front row starter, Freddie Rahmer. Dietz was scored 22nd during the Lincoln Speedway opener. Greg Hodnett was the $4,000 winner over the 30 cars entered for action.

“We had a good day going for us up until that point” explained Chase Dietz, “We ran well in the heat race…actually battled for second and third most of the race until Krimes got by us…we ended up fourth in the heat but still made the redraw…we started on the front row of the feature but got together with Freddie…unfortunately, we tore up the front end and were unable to get back out but we were pleased with how the day was going…I was comfortable in the car and that is motivating for us as a team…we have some work to do this week but we’ll be ready to go for next weekend!”

Chase Dietz and the Scott Gobrecht ‘44’ team will be back in action next Saturday evening, March 21st at the Lincoln Speedway. The high school senior and 2014 Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ sprint car track champion will look to pick up right where he left off and earn a career-first ‘410’ sprint car victory.

“The first race of the year is usually the most nerve racking…but I’m happy with how things went and we have some confidence heading into next week” said Dietz, “I can’t thank Scott Gobrecht enough for this opportunity…racing in the ‘410’ division has been a dream of mine since I started racing, so to be able to do this is just incredible…hopefully we can pick up where we left off and get this ‘44’ up front.”
