Chase Dietz Satisfied with PA Sprint Speedweek Performances
Back to ‘Normal’ This Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove and Lincoln

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

York, PA (July 6th, 215) – When it was all said and done, central Pennsylvania ‘410’ sprint car rookie Chase Dietz participated in four rounds of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek presented by Jake’s Wayback Burgers competition; qualifying for all four main event programs and recording an average finish of 15th. Dietz, the pilot of the Scott Gobrecht owned, Golf Cart Services, Bad Boy Buggies, ServiceMaster Clean Janitorial Service of York and Lancaster, Gettysburg Rental Company, no. 44 ‘410’ sprinter, visited the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania twice and the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania twice during his short speedweek stint; earning his highest finish of the week, a 12th place performance, at Lincoln Speedway on Monday, June 29th. Despite what text results may read, the Scott Gobrecht ‘44’ team is proud of their accomplishments during speedweek and looks forward to returning to ‘410’ competition this Saturday night, July 11th back at the Lincoln Speedway.

“All in all, we had a successful speedweek” said Chase Dietz, “We qualified for every show we entered and we are very proud of that. We had to race our way in to the shows at Williams Grove Speedway each time, but we still managed to earn some solid finishes despite starting at the back. I don’t have a lot of experience with time trials and that is what hurt me the most. That is something we’ll need to work on. I want to thank Scott Gobrecht and the entire ‘44’ team for their hard work and dedication. This has been an amazing experience. We are going to keep working hard and push towards improvement every night we race.”

Chase Dietz and the Scott Gobrecht team earned a 14th place finish at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 26th to help kick off their Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign. The former Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ sprint car track champion finished 12th at Lincoln Speedway on Monday evening, June 29th; followed by a 15th place performance back at Lincoln on Thursday, July 2nd. The Dietz/Gobrecht duo ended their four-race speedweek venture with a 20th place finish during the $10,000-to-win ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, July 3rd.

“I am really comfortable in the car” said Dietz, “We are getting stronger as a team and that is really beginning to show. We still have some things to work on and I still have a lot to learn. We are getting more and more confident and that is most important.”

Dietz will enter two nights of competition during the upcoming weekend. The recent high school graduate will jump back behind the wheel of the Troy Godfrey owned, Godfrey Racing Engines no. 5 ‘358’ sprint car on Friday night, July 10th at Williams Grove Speedway, all before returning to the Scott Gobrecht no. 44 ‘410’ sprinter on Saturday, July 11th at Lincoln Speedway. Chase Dietz is a one-time winner during ‘358’ sprint car competition in 2015; occurring at ‘The Grove’ on May 29th.

“It will be another busy few days this weekend” said Chase Dietz, “We’ll have the Troy Godfrey ‘358’ at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday. We’ll be making another donation towards a local charity again so that is always exciting. I want to thank Troy and his family again for this opportunity. We’ve been pretty good this year so hopefully we can park it in victory lane again this Friday.”
