Chase Dietz Will Launch New Year at Lincoln Icebreaker
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
YORK, Pa. (February 24, 2016) – 2015 North American 410 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year honoree Chase Dietz will begin his 2016 campaign with the annual Icebreaker 30 at Lincoln Speedway on February 27. Dietz, a one-time winner during 410 main event action at Lincoln during his rookie season, will climb back in the seat of the Scott Gobrecht-owned, Golf Cart Services, Bad Boy Buggies, ServiceMaster Clean Janitorial Service of York and Lancaster, Gettysburg Rental Company, No. 44 this Saturday afternoon and attempt to hunt down a career-high $4,000 payday.
“Finally!” Chase Dietz said, “We’ve been growing pretty anxious to get back to the track these last few weeks. The last few days always take the longest. The forecast looks pretty good, so I think we’ll be racing on Saturday afternoon.”
Like many of Central Pennsylvania’s finest, Chase Dietz made his 2015 debut during the Icebreaker program, joining 29 other competitors for the region’s first 410 sprint car event. The York, Pa., native qualified for the 30-lap feature after finishing fourth during his respective heat race. Unfortunately, Dietz would have to surrender early due to his involvement in an on-track incident; he was scored 22nd.
“We are proud of what we accomplished our first night out last year, but we still hope to do better this year” Dietz explained, “We’re just happy to be back racing. I can’t thank Scott Gobrecht and all of my supporters enough for this opportunity. We are constantly striving to get faster. We have a lot of confidence heading into the 2016 season so hopefully we can put that to good use this weekend and start the season in the right direction.”
Chase Dietz will release a full schedule in the coming days – stay tuned.
