MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (July 10, 2023) – Although their plan to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, on Friday, July 7, was ultimately ruined due to Mother Nature, action went on as planned Saturday evening at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, and Mitchellville, Iowa’s own TKS Motorsports put on a show, rallying big with Texas youngster, Chase Randall, at the helm.

Randall, primary ace of Troy Renfro’s Albaugh – Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, deWit Construction, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, No. 2KS sprint car, finished 13th in his Knoxville Raceway visit on July 8, eventually Hard Charging his way through the field after starting 21st on the evening grid.

A poor heat race result forced the Waco, Texas, native to the B-Main where he was victorious.

“It was a great effort by everyone on Saturday. We ended up trying a few things and our trial and errors really helped us move forward in the feature. Some poor luck in the heat really set us back, but we persevered in a big way and that’s exciting,” Troy Renfro stated. “It’s going to be our focus to continuously improve at Knoxville. The Nationals will be here before we know it and it’s important to us to be more than prepared.”
