BYRAM, Conn. (August 8, 2020) – It is official. chckrd, the racing hub app with an all-motorsports attitude, is launching chckrdTV, a streaming platform on Tuesday, August 11.

chckrdTV programming will feature informative and entertaining motorsports-centric content that appeals to all types of racing enthusiasts. From “Karting Cross the Pond” which tracks the careers of young kart racers in the US and UK, to “Race Prep Live” which checks in on race teams around the world preparing for the race-weekend to “Marbles” a humorous animated series about racing written from the stories of racers.

As part of the launch, we are excited to announce  “The Forge with Kristen Almer” going live on  Tuesday, August 11th, at 12 pm EST; the program focuses specifically on motorsports sponsorship development and partner relations.

Kristen Almer has had a powerful and lasting influence on the Powersports industry.  She created and sold the first outside-industry sponsorship in snocross, which spurred tremendous growth in the sport and revolutionized the way OEMs invested in racing in the early ’90s.

Over the past 30 years, Almer has worked as a consultant to some of the world’s most prestigious and influential athletes, race teams, sanctioning organizations, and the corporations which support them. A big picture thinker, she is adept at identifying growth opportunities, forging critical alliances, and sourcing funds for new projects.

“Sponsorship is a powerful tool. I just love that it allows us to be creative and collaborate with other like-minded entities — all toward a common goal. When done well, it intricately stitches together the many threads used by traditional marketers and wraps a message around a well-defined group.  It all begins and ends with relationships— which is what prompted the name “The Forge,” Kristen Almer explained. Like every great relationship, it will flourish when we take the focus off of ourselves and look to share our knowledge, our resources, and our allies to the other parties’ benefit. We are going to dive headlong into the deep water and offer clarity on what drives high-yield sponsorship, and how to get the most out of your relationships. In the midst of it, I’ll be sharing stories, dispelling nonsense, and lighting a fire under you.”

Conducted live, “The Forge with Kristen Almer,” is a 30-minute program that airs weekly. The first 15 minutes of each episode will be dedicated to the specific topic at hand, followed by a 15-minute question and answer segment. Live-streams can be accessed exclusively via the chckrd app by premium level members, which can be downloaded through the respective Android and Apple marketplaces. Also, previously recorded live-streams will be available on-demand for purchase.

“We are committed to providing value to our members, and having someone with Kristen’s resume share her insights about a topic as important as sponsorship and financial partnerships checks that box, —especially amidst the current issues facing the automotive and Powersports community,” said chckrd’s Founder Chris Muller.  Muller went on to say “so many of us are looking for direction right now. We are proud to be able to provide a platform where members hear what she knows— but also how passionately she shares it. It is going to make for an incredible 30 minutes.”
