TULSA, Okla. (December 17, 2014) – Construction of the Tulsa Expo Raceway is underway with the 30th annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout just over two weeks away. Happening December 31, 2014 through January 3, 2015, the entry list has grown to over 800 in the last week.
A marque event event for rising stars, the event that gave birth to the Chili Bowl has become a vital test session for several Golden Driller Hopefuls.
Among the drivers who will pull double duty is Cory Kruseman. Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Champion in 2004, the California non-wing ace will take part in Non-Winged Outlaw competition. Cory will be joined by another Chili Bowl Champion as Kevin Swindell will compete in Non-Winged and Winged Outlaw as well as A-Class Winged and Non-Winged. The four time winner of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals is also a two-time winner of the Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout, having topped Go Karts in 2001 and 2002.
Of the 457 drivers that currently make up the 824 entries, the list of drivers using the Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout stands at 34, including 2014 Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout star, Frank Flud. Picking up a pair of Golden Drillers in Outlaw Winged and A-Class Non-Winged competition, Flud’s Chili Bowl ride will be with Hard 8 Racing. Outlaw Non-Winged 2014 winner, Steven Shebester and ECOtec Midget champion; Blake Hahn scheduled to take part in both events.
All pre-entries will come to a close on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Anyone wishing to enter after that must do so during the check-in process at the River Spirit Expo Center on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

The 30th annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout begins on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 and lasts until Saturday, January 3, 2015. Move-in and registration for the indoor event in Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
