SANDUSKY, Ohio (September 11, 2023) – It was a tough weekend in northwest Ohio for Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing, but despite the fact, the Sandusky, Ohio, wheelman is ready, as well as anxious, to get back to work, already setting aim on a pair of starts at “The Track That Action Built,” Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16.

Honoring one of Fremont Speedway’s legendary promoters, as well as his wife, the annual Jim and Joanne Ford Classic featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions will be the main attraction during the coming weekend, highlighted with two, full programs awarding $6,000 and $10,000, respectively. Andrews, a recent top-five finisher at Fremont Speedway during Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) competition, is certainly no stranger to the All Star Circuit of Champions, officially reaching the 100 feature starts mark during a recent All Star invasion of Attica Raceway Park.

As hinted, Andrews will roll into Fremont Speedway’s annual All Star doubleheader fresh off of a rocky weekend in the Buckeye State, but despite a pair of frustrating outcomes, there were several silver linings. The former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion was in position for a top-five Saturday night in Fremont’s AFCS finale, that until his right front steering arm malfunctioned. The issue sent Andrews hard into Fremont’s outside soft wall; he was ok.

Andrews was scored 18th at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, September 8.

“We obviously wanted a little more out of last weekend,” Andrews, ace of the Ohio Truck Sales, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Ohio Peterbilt, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, NAPA Fremont Auto Parts, Burdue Insurance, TruckParts4U.com, No. 15C sprint car, said. “Finding the right level of consistency has been difficult for us, but that comes with building a new team and starting from scratch. We’re constantly reevaluating things…it just takes time.”
