Pittsburgh, PA (January 17th, 2014) – Colton Flinner, a former multi-time Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (P.P.M.S.) crate late model track champion, will make the jump to super late model competition full-time in 2014; with plans to chase the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway track championship. Flinner, an Allison Park, Pennsylvania native, will make the transfer into super lates after competing in the crate late model ranks for multiple seasons; racking up back to back track championships at P.P.M.S. in 2011 and 2012. The former FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series winner is more than excited about the upcoming 2014 season and will officially kick things off by debuting his super late model at next weekend’s 53rd Annual World of Wheels car show at the David L. Lawrence convention center in downtown Pittsburgh.

“This is a dream come true” explained Colton Flinner, “I am more than excited to jump into the super lates full time in 2014…this is something I have been looking forward to since I started racing…I can’t thank my family and supporters enough…we have a lot of great people on board with us again in 2014…Craiger Race Engines will be ‘creating the thunder’ this season and we can’t thank them enough…we’ll have the new car on display at the World of Wheels show in Pittsburgh next weekend…this is really a dream come true.”

Although Colton Flinner’s plan, as of now, is to chase the 2014 Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway super late model track championship, the Western Pennsylvania native has not left out the possibility of racing in other areas of the state and region. Flinner, who will pilot the All American Framers, Vox Energy, Randig Towing, Craiger Race Engines, no. 75 in 2014, plans to also make occasional appearances at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday evenings. Not to mention, if all of the demands are met, the ‘75’ team still may take on the ultimate challenge of following the entire National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Northeast super late model tour; all while still making time to race a three-quarter late model during select appearances. Needless to say, big plans stand on the horizon for Colton Flinner.

“It’s pretty certain that we will be competing at Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania Motor Speedway) each and every Saturday for points” said Colton Flinner, “We want to race at other tracks, too…like Lernerville on Friday’s and maybe a few others…if things line up how we want them, and we can gather all of the necessary resources, then we may run the entire NDRL Northeast super late model deal…we have a lot of things running through our heads right now…we are more than excited and I can’t thank everyone enough.”

Colton Flinner will make the occasional crate late model start in 2014 as well; with intentions to be a part of the inaugural 100 lapper at P.P.M.S. later this year sanctioned by the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Series. Although most of Flinner’s 2014 schedule is already on paper, a launch date has not been determined. A possible southbound road trip may be in the mix but nothing has been set in stone. More details regarding a Florida/Georgia trip will be released at a later date.

Be sure to visit the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh next Friday through Sunday, January 24th – 26th, and visit Colton Flinner with his super late model on display during the World of Wheels car show.
